Charaxes jasius , também conhecida como Borboleta-do-Medronheiro, é uma das Borboletas Diurnas mais bonitas de Portugal. A sua Lagarta é extremamente bonita e difícil de encontrar na vegetação dos Medronhos. Demorei 3 horas para encontrar a larva desta, e a sua criação foi simples. Estas alimentam-se no nosso país simplesmente e apenas só de folha de medronho. Foi bastante simples de criar-la, o único ''problema'' será ter folhas de medronho para a sua alimentação.
Charaxes jasius aka Foxy Emperor is one of the most beautiful butterfly from Portugal. The caterpillar is extremely beautiful but difficult to find on the green leafs of Strawberry trees. I spent 3 hours to find it, and growing it up was very simple. These in our country only feed of Strawberry Tree leafs. It was very simple to raise it up, the only problem is to have leafs from Strawberry Tree to his feeding.
