Papilio machaon is a very common butterfly here. Every year (I speak for myself) I can get at least one of their caterpillars, but after last year, most of them were already parisited, so I decided to check on the It's host plant every time I saw a small one I collect it, so it would not get parisited. I could collect 5.
both 5 could make it till Cocoon and I think most of them will get into Butterflies. This was the first.

Papilio machaon é uma borboleta muito comum aqui. Todos os anos (falo por mim), eu consigo ter uma das lagartas, mas depois do ano passado, a maioria delas ficou com parasitas, pois apanhei-as já parasitadas, então este ano decidi, apanhar-las assim que as vi-se nas arrudas, assim não ficariam parasitadas. Consegui apanhar 5, e todas cresceram até à crisálida, e acho que todas irão ser borboletas. Esta é a primeira que nasceu.

Acronicta rumicis aka Knot grass, I usually found these caterpillars over winter, but this time I found them on late spring, in the darkest deep part of the forrest. the caterpillar fed really fast and the Moth as well.

Acronicta rumicis  normalmente encontro estas lagartas no inverno, mas desta vez encontrei-a no final da primavera, na zona mais escura e profunda da floresta. A lagarta comeu, e cresceu muito rápido, assim como a borboleta.

Lampides boeticus it's a micro butterfly, which feeds on Sweet-peas mostly when I catch them. This year I could see their mom laying the eggs, and only created one, because they are very dirty, I mean they poop a lot.Lampides boeticus  é uma micro borboleta, que se alimenta essencialmente das flores de Ervilha-de-cheiro, como costumo encontrar. Este ano vi a mãe a colocar os ovos e decidi apenas criar uma, porque são muito porcas, no sentido de defecarem muito.

Lasiocampa quercus is a very beautiful caterpillar and moth. The mother layed a lot of eggs, but from all of them, (they were 15 eggs) only 3 could make it... I don't understand because they were all healthy, but in the end, only 3 survived...most of them died alone... They ate all kind of leaves, like quercus, Salix and Rubus.Lasiocampa quercus  é uma lagarta muito bonita assim como a Borboleta. A mãe (1º foto) deixou alguns ovos, mas muitos deles (eram 15) só 3 conseguiram sobreviver (das lagartas).... Eu não compreendo elas estavam tão saudáveis, mas no fim, só 3 sobreviveram... Mas quase todas morreram... Elas comiam qualquer tipo de folhas como Quercus, Salix and Rubus.
