Planta Hospedeira: A lagarta é poligrafa. Este exemplar alimentou-se de Rumex sp.

Características da Larva / Lagarta: A lagarta alimentava-se maioritariamente à noite e de dia enterrava-se ou escondia-se debaixo das folhas. A lagarta mede aproximadamente 6 cm

Característica da Pupa: Para pupar, a lagarta enterra-se no solo e pupa.

Hibernação durante a criação: Não hibernou. Mas é possível que esta espécie inverne como pupa

Período de voo: Fevereiro (Zona sul) a fins de Setembro

Envergadura: 4-5 cm

Local encontrado: Albufeira, Algarve

Observações: Esta espécie pode se considerar abundante no pais inteiro, sendo que o par de asas posterior amarelo muito bonito (não foi possível fotografar a parte amarela de baixo, mas a ultima fota mostra um pouco)

Hostplant:
The caterpillar is polyphagous. This one  I had fed  with Rumex sp.

Larvae / Caterpillar :
The caterpillar fed mostly at night and by day it buried itself or was hidden under the leaves. The caterpillar has a size of ~ 6 cm.

Pupa: 
To Pupate, the caterpillar buried itself.

 Hibernation :
There is no regist of mine that the caterpillar overwinted. However is possible that it overwints as pupa

Flights: February until Late September

Wingspan: 4-5 cm

Location: Albufeira, Faro

Observation: 

This species is abundant over Portugal, and its back wings are yellow (the english name for it) and they are beautiful.(I could not photograph the moth with the wings open, however last picture has a bit of the underwing.)
