Brithys crini aka The Lily Borer is a Small although gets far, showy caterpillar of one discreter moth that lives in the beach all the time.
It feeds Lily Borer (Pancratium maritimum), that grows in dunes of Mediterranean and Atlantic Ocean.
Note: In Algarve, most exactly in Faro I've not noticed presence of this Caterpillar on the beach. I Found those in The North, Vila Chá, Vila do Conde.
Brithys crini é Pequena ,contudo gordinha, vistosa lagarta de uma mais discreta borboleta nocturna que passa toda a sua vida na praia.
Alimenta-se do narciso-das-areias (Pancratium maritimum), que cresce nas dunas do Mediterrâneo e Atlântico.
Nota: No Algarve, mais propriamente em Faro, não vi existência desta lagarta na praia, mesmo com o alimento em abundância Estas foram encontradas a Norte, Vila Chá, Vila do Conde.
